American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
East Central Illinois Community Action Agency would like to keep you informed about the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds and they have been spent.
By May 31, 2009 East Central Illinois Community Action Agency had commitment from Federal and state agencies for more than $2 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009 funds, or as the funding has been commonly refrerred to stimulus money. Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) expenditures from this funding must begin within two months of the award. As of date the following awards have been received or in competitive/pending status.
Services
East Central Illinois Community Action Agency has developed a continuum of services which are designed to help families in poverty take steps toward independence. Our major services include Head Start, Housing and Energy Assistance, Emergency, Educational Talent Search and other services.
