EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHERS (3)-Hoopeston, Gibson City and Danville, IL
Prepare and maintain developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote kindergarten-readiness and skills attainment for children ages 3-5 years old. The ideal candidates will actively engage young children in daily and on-going educational experiences that promote and develop critical thinking, pre-literacy, early math science exploration, gross and fine motor skills. These positions require an Associate’s degree, but a Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field of study.
EARLY CHILDHOOD FAMILY ADVOCATE – Paxton, IL
A Family Advocate works with parents to remove barriers and provide community resources which will guide the family towards economic self-sufficiency. This position requires a valid Illinois driver’s license and at least two years of verifiable experience in a Human Service field. The ideal candidate will possess interpersonal and effective communication skills. Family Advocates interact with young children, parents, fellow Family Advocates and the greater community. This position requires an Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or a closely related field.
CLASSROOM TEACHER ASSISTANTS/BUS MONITORS (2) – Watseka and Paxton, IL
Responsibilities for these positions include monitoring the safety of young children during transportation transitions which includes boarding and exiting of buses at the centers and home locations. Assistants also work with the classroom teachers to provide delivery of high quality early childhood instruction. These positions require a high school diploma or GED and a willingness to pursue an Infant and Toddler CDA credential within one year of employment. Classroom Assistants are also highly encouraged to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with tuition assistance provided by the Agency. A valid driver's license and an ability to earn a CDL are required. Interpersonal skills are needed to relate well to children, colleagues, parents, and the community. These positions require the ability to travel to meetings, trainings, and or various Agency work sites as required.
CLASSROOM TEACHER ASSISTANT-Danville, IL
This position includes participation in the delivery of early childhood instruction and care. Minimum requirements for this position include a high school diploma or GED and the willingness to pursue an Infant and Toddler CDA credential within one year of employment. Classroom Assistants are also encouraged to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education utilizing the Agency’s tuition reimbursement program. Interpersonal skills are needed to relate well to children, coworkers, parents, and the community. This position requires the ability to travel to meetings, training, or work sites as required.
MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST II
This individual will provide meal delivery and custodial services for designated Agency facilities. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent General Education Development (GED) certificate and a valid Illinois driver’s license. Work experience must include at least two years verifiable experience performing janitorial duties, basic carpentry skills and the knowledge of cleaning supplies. Other requirements are the ability to travel to out of town meetings, trainings, and various work-sites as needed. Eligible candidates must possess the physical ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
